Celebrating Success: Vujovich Design Build Wins Three 2023 ROMA Awards

2023 ROMA Awards: BIG Night

As one of the longest-standing Design Build firms in the Twin Cities, Vujovich has always believed in the transformative power of remodeling. We love to design and create beautiful spaces. Although each project is unique, the way in which we approach them remains the same. We always start by learning as much as possible about our clients and the way they live. Our true reward is hearing our clients reflect on how our remodel makes their home so much better! 

Why do we enter some of our projects into competition? 

We also like to know we are among the Best In Class for Twin Cities’ remodeling companies based on peer review. Our team continues to strive to turn challenges into remarkable solutions as noted by the judges. We review their comments and continue to learn, adding to the knowledge base of our talented team.  As a part of creating these personalized spaces, we are excited to announce that Vujovich Design Build recently won three ROMA Awards in 2023. 

What are the ROMA Awards? 

Presented by the construction industry organization Housing First Minnesota, the Remodeler of Merit Awards (ROMA) honor members for quality and value in remodeling projects that range from baths, kitchens, and additions to whole-house remodels. Professional remodelers judge entries on creativity in meeting the unique challenges of remodeling and in successfully meeting the needs, desires, and budgets of their clients. 

All who enter are encouraged to attend the Building Industry Gala (BIG) Night, where companies accept awards alongside other BIG winners. Our team had a wonderful night celebrating the best in the industry from new builds to industry partners at the Housing First BIG Night event. We were honored to take home not one, not two, but three awards! 

What categories did we win? 

Category 1: Detailed Component:  

A charming craftsman home located in the quaint neighborhood of Macalester Groveland in St. Paul had an outdated 50s kitchen that lacked function and didn’t connect well with the rest of the home. After touring and being regular guests at Vujovich Design Build’s showcase homes, the clients hired the team to design and build their remodel.     

Category 2: Kitchen: $115,000 and Over:  

Tucked within the esteemed Summit Hill Neighborhood of St. Paul, lies an elegant 1889 residence that captured the eye of our clients from the beginning. Determined to revive its original charm, they entrusted Vujovich to transform their space. With a breathtaking location that looks over the hillside bluffs, this home showcases an opulent white kitchen, a deep blue butler’s pantry, and a gracious mudroom designed for organization. The transformed space houses a regal French range with gold and white accents, adding sophistication to the overall ambiance.   

Category 3: Whole House: $400,000 up to $800,000:  

Nestled in a rolling wooded neighborhood, this family enjoyed that their home offered a slice of nature in the heart of a metropolitan area. But inside the home was dated and lacked the clean, open flow they wished for. Now, the entire main floor offers additional functions and connected spaces for this family of five’s activities and entertainment.
