Artisan Home Tour: Remodeler’s Edition

Ever wonder what’s behind the doors of the most exquisite homes in the Twin Cities? The Artisan Home Tour is your chance to step into these homes that were designed and constructed by the region’s most exceptional builders and remodelers. These artisans create incredible residences that blend artistic vision with unmatched craftsmanship.

This is why we are so excited to be a part of this years’ Artisan Home Tour by Housing First and Parade of Homes.  Housing First Minnesota launched the Artisan Home Tour in 2014 to bring the opportunity to share these homes that are designed and constructed by elite Designers and Builders in Minnesota.  Each home showcases the highest level of architectural integrity, top-quality craftsmanship, and exceptionally high finish level.

One of the best parts of the tour is partial proceeds from the Artisan Home Tour help to support the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation. Learn more about this Foundation.

Our Artisan Home

This year at Vujovich Design + Build we couldn’t be more thrilled to showcase one of our newest transformations that embodies what we are truly all about…exquisite design, luxury details, prestigious craftsmanship all while keeping the integrity of the older home intact.

Our Artisan Home is located within the esteemed Summit Hill Neighborhood of St. Paul.  An 1889 home with all the elegant details our clients were searching for when looking to purchase a new home, but they were determined to revive this home back to its original charm.  This is when they enlisted Vujovich to do just that!

All the Glitz and Glam

This kitchen was once a confined and cramped space and with just the elimination of one wall, we were able to transform this kitchen into the perfect space for entertaining as well as daily living. Removing this wall allowed us to design a large island and open the space to the rest of the home. The kitchen now seamlessly integrates into the rest of the home’s unique aesthetic because of our remarkable craftsmanship which is just one of the many ways that set Vujovich apart from other design build companies.

Along with the kitchen remodel, we transformed the existing butler’s pantry into a show-stopping space.  This room offers the ultimate addition to the kitchen for extra storage, beverages, and the right amount of glam that mirrors the feel of the kitchen. The butler’s pantry is painted floor to ceiling in Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy and adds the perfect amount of drama and unexpectedness to the home. It quickly becomes one of your favorite places to socialize.

The existing mudroom was a space that lacked all form and function, the design team turned a kitchenette area into a larger mudroom and back entrance for the family. Custom cabinetry, functional storage, and fun details in the hardware and lighting make this space welcoming for all who enter even if it’s just the family.

Our clients have a timeless yet elegant and glamorous style that really brought out the architectural charm of this residence. At Vujovich Design Build, one of our main goals is to make our clients’ visions of their homes a reality, while sharing creative and thoughtful ways to do so in both the design and build. One fun way that we incorporated a must from our clients was through the intricate molding detail in the glass cabinetry. Our client inherited a large Qinghua ‘Blue & White’ pottery collection and this molding detail is a representation of this inspiration.
