NARI Cares partnered with Wishes and More to fulfill a wish for a very special four-year-old.
“It’s going to be so fun having her friends come over and have sleepovers and tea parties.” -Grace’s dad, Reggie
When she was just 1, Grace was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After almost three years of chemotherapy, this strong little girl completed her treatment earlier this year! It was during this time spent at Children’s Hospital that the family was referred to Wishes and More, a Minnesota-based organization that enhances the lives of children fighting a terminal or life-threatening condition by providing extraordinary experiences including wishes, scholarships, memorials, and more.
Grace’s wish was to have a playhouse fit for a princess. Vujovich team members answered the call, acting on behalf of NARI Cares, eager to lend their skilled hands to help make this deserving girl’s dream come true.
“This struck a chord with me, probably because I like everything to do with houses and little houses, and she wanted a little house of her own, and that just sings to my soul,” said Sarah Ivers, Design Director at Vujovich and President of NARI Cares. “I wanted to make it really special for her.”
The palette was derived from Grace’s favorite colors and the customization of the playhouse included some of her favorite details. Seeing her smile was the best reward for a weekend of painting, building, and design.
