The Bluebird House: Building Hope for Medically Fragile Youth
One of our most meaningful community projects was the Bluebird House renovation. In partnership with the Builder’s Association of the Twin Cities and Homeward Bound, we helped transform living spaces for four young men facing significant medical challenges.
These residents required an adaptive environment to enhance their quality of life, safety, and care. Through thoughtful remodeling, our team redesigned key areas of the home to provide not only accessibility, but also comfort, dignity, and beauty.

The Peace Bridge: A Symbol of Healing and Community Connection
Another standout project was the construction of The Peace Bridge, a six-year collaboration between a U.S. architect and a Japanese artist. Located in Minneapolis, the bridge symbolizes friendship and peace between Minneapolis, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki—three cities united by a vision of healing and hope.
Vujovich Design Build played a key role in bringing this vision to life, offering our expertise and construction support to realize a structure that now stands as a powerful public art installation and community landmark.
