“Knowing that my clients were in love with the home’s Colonial bones, it was important to keep those details and layers throughout the design.” – Lori Balestri
Artisan Home Tour: Remodeler’s Edition
Ever wonder what’s behind the doors of the most exquisite homes in the Twin Cities? The Artisan Home Tour is your chance to step into these homes that were designed and constructed by the region’s most exceptional builders and remodelers. These artisans create incredible residences that blend artistic vision with unmatched craftsmanship.
This is why we are so excited to participate in this year’s second Artisan Home Tour by Housing First Minnesota. The Artisan Home Tour launched in 2014 to bring the opportunity to share these homes that are designed and constructed by elite Designers and Builders in Minnesota. One of the best parts of the tour is partial proceeds from the Artisan Home Tour help to support the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation. Learn more about this Foundation.
Our team couldn’t be more excited to showcase one of our most loved transformations that embodies what we are truly all about…creative design, precise details, and exquisite craftsmanship all while keeping the integrity of the older home intact.
A stately 1936 Colonial always caught the eye of a young girl who would frequently walk by it growing up in the city. Decades later, it became her family’s home. With the dream to modernize the inside, they enlisted our team to combine the best of the old with the new to make it sing for this family of four. This remodel took elements from the home’s colonial bones and combined great design to create optimal flow and premium storage options. With efforts to work within the existing floor plan, our team transformed 4,500 square feet into the space of our client’s dreams.
Optimized Flow
This remodel features a luxurious yet traditional kitchen with custom cabinetry and millwork, elegant light fixtures and unique tilework. The centerpiece of the kitchen is the custom range hood and marble stone mosaic hydrangea tile.
Custom Corners
The Vujovich Team crafted elegant arches to mimic the originals and add to the beauty of the home. This design element provides a unique look while creating a seamless flow.
The Details
To help blend traditional with modern, we paired a stained white oak buffet with patterned wallpaper that is reminiscent of colonial times. The classic color combination of white and green is a timeless choice.
Our team remodeled three floors to give it the charm it deserves. Our work features an upgraded ’60s kitchen, a reconfigured mudroom, a light and airy great room with a breakfast nook, a bold powder bath, a functional master suite, and a fully finished entertainment area on the lower level.
